Your Consent
By placing an order you agree to our Terms and Conditions. Work will only commence on your cake/cupcakes/treats when your order has been paid.

Prices

All prices are non-negotiable and priced according to your design and size of cake/cupcakes/treats.

Fran's Cakes does not ‘price match’, as our prices are based upon our unique work and quality of ingredients used. 

Following your consultation/inquiry, your quote is valid for 3 days from the quote date. Upfront payment secures this price and prevents any further price increases, except;

1. in exceptional circumstances beyond our control e.g.  fuel price increase, ingredient cost increase etc. and

2. Alterations made to original quote

Orders

Depending on availability- At least 7 working days’ notice is required for cupcake bouquets and 14 days for cakes. It is advisable to book as soon as you know the date you require, particularly for weddings, weekends, summer dates and holidays (Easter, Christmas, etc). Short notice orders will always be considered however, there is no guarantee that there will be availability to fulfil your order and a rush fee of 15% will be applied. 

Fran's Cakes reserves the right to decline any order.

Deposits and balance

Your date is not secured until you have paid. Your date will be held for 24 hours following an inquiry , after this time has passed your date will be made available again and will be booked by the first customer to pay for confirmation.

Event Reservations 

Orders 7-12 month in advance $100 Non refundable holding fee

-4-6 months in advance 50% of order security deposit (order details required) 

-0-3 months in advanced full payment

Payments

Fran's Cakes accepts credit/debit cards only.

You should email us with confirmation of payment transfer in order to facilitate prompt acknowledgement of payment. 

Remaining balances can be paid on or before collection. The cupcake bouquet will not be released until payment has been received.

Collection and Delivery

All baked goods are for collection, unless delivery is requested at the time of order.  

Collection of orders is available from Fran's Cakes via appointment only during the following hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 6:30pm and Saturdays and Sundays 9am to 11am.Other times may be available on request but this cannot be guaranteed and arrangements need to made with at least 7 days’ notice. The customer is responsible for advising Fran's Cakes if they are unable to meet the agreed time for collection.  

All orders are made to order, arriving earlier than your expected collection time may result in your cupcake bouquet not being ready and the customer being asked to return at their scheduled appointment. 

 

Limited local delivery may be available at the discretion of Fran's Cake's, LLC.  Delivery charge is $15. It is your duty to examine the cakes/cupcakes/treats upon collection/delivery to ensure that the order is complete and that the goods have not been damaged in transit. 

You are required to enter full and accurate details for delivery including the name, address and postcode of the recipient. We will not be responsible for any orders which are not delivered due to incorrect or incomplete information. If there is no one there to receive the delivery at the agreed delivery date and time, then it will be deemed a ‘Failed Delivery’. The item/s will be left in the nearest shaded area, Fran's Cakes will provide a photograph as proof to say that the Cupcake Bouquet has arrived and that it is in perfect condition. Fran's Cakes will not be responsible for item/s that become damaged or stolen. . I am unable to refund the order cost or delivery charges for failed deliveries. 

 

Requests to change delivery/collection date and time should be given with no less than 7 days’ notice, please note it may not always be possible to accommodate these changes.  

Fran's Cakes advises customers to travel with the cupcake bouquets on a flat surface, ideally the passenger foot well. The cupcake bouquet may need support either side to stop it tipping over. 

 

Fran's Cakes accept no liability for cupcake bouquets that are damaged on or after collection or delivered to the agreed location.   

For cupcake bouquets delivered to agreed locations Fran's Cakes  will provide a photograph as proof to say that the Cupcake Bouquet has arrived and that it is in perfect condition. 

 

Cupcake Bouquets collected are checked by myself and checked by the person on collection. The customer consents that it has been collected in perfect condition by accepting the cupcake bouquet and removing it from the premises. Damages after this point are not Fran's Cakes responsibility. 

Cupcake bouquets are fragile and require care and attention when handling, storing and displaying to prevent damage occurring.

Care

As general guidance, Cupcakes should be eaten as soon as you can, preferably within 1-3 days to maximize freshness. 

Cupcake bouquets should be stored in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.  It is recommended to be refrigerated if needed, but no more than 24 hours after collection as refrigeration may cause the cupcake to dry out. Cupcake bouquets should be kept flat at all times and away from strong odors.  

It is the customer’s responsibility to inform Fran's Cakes if the cupcake bouquet is being consumed the day after collection. Fran's Cakes can provide an extra piece of cellophane to put over the top of the bouquet for overnight storage. This will help prevent any dust, hair, etc. settling on the cupcakes. 

Cupcake bouquets should be stored away from children and animals. 

It is advisable not to consume cupcakes after three days of date made. 

Buttercream coloring may stain and care should be taken while handling and consuming.

Design conditions

Fran's Cakes aims to produce cakes/cupcakes/treats of highest quality that meets the desires of the clients as we understand them. 

Each cupcake bouquet/cake/treat are handmade. While every effort is made to ensure consistency in baking, a small amount of variation may occur both in the flavor, color, size, design and texture of the recipe.

Alterations & changes to cakes

It is the client’s responsibility to read and check the order confirmation document thoroughly; any amendments should be made in writing. 

If requested, we will endeavour to adjust the design where feasible, but sometimes this is not possible due to the nature of the request or amount of notice given. 

Minor changes will be accommodated; however major changes may result in a re-quote. 

If the alteration affects the cost, or preparation work for the original design has already been started, then your balance will be adjusted accordingly.

Allergies and Special Dietary Requirements

Unfortunately Fran's Cakes does not offer 'free from' cupcakes as our kitchen is not a certified allergy free workspace. All recipes will contain dairy products, egg and gluten and the client assumes responsibility for advising guests of this fact. Products may contain traces of nuts.

​

Non-edible items

Most special occasion cakes contain small proportions of inedible items; it is the client’s responsibility to ensure these are removed by your caterer/guests before consumption. Most of our custom cake toppers contain inedible items and are not suitable for human consumption. 

Non-edible cake toppers can be purchased at an additional cost. Individual quotes are provided upon request. Bundle of Cupcakes require at least two week’s notice for bespoke cake toppers.

Cancellation

If cancellation of the order is made 72 hours or more before the order is due for delivery/collection then a 50% deposit is retained and any monies paid above the deposit will be returned.

If cancellation is made less than 72 hours of the delivery/collection time then all monies received will be retained as preparation of your cupcake bouquet and cake may have started. 

In the unlikely event that I am forced to cancel an order through no fault of the customer all monies will be refunded.

All cupcakes/cakes/treats remain the property of Fran's Cakes until paid for in full. 

Fran's Cakes reserves the right to resell any cupcake bouquet/cupcake/cake/treats  that are cancelled.

If the customer fails to collect their cupcake bouquet at their designated collection time or within a 30 minute window, it is the customer responsibility to contact Fran's Cakes to rearrange collection. If the customer does not contact us within 4 hours, Fran's Cakes will assume the customer no longer requires the cupcakes/cake/bouquet and it may be given away or resold. No refunds will be given for failed collections/deliveries

Photographs

Fran's Cakes reserves the right to take photographs of all baked goods for advertising purposes. 

It is the customer’s responsibly to inform Fran's Cakes if they’d like the photographs and a special message to be put on social media on a specific date.

Complaints

Complaints are very rare but are taken very seriously by Fran's Cakes.  Customer satisfaction is our priority. All complaints and/or discrepancies must be reported immediately  as some complaints may require further investigation and cupcakes must be returned within 14 hours for inspection, therefore immediate refund may not be available.  

The maximum refund Fran's Cakes offers is the value of the cakes and any delivery charges. 

Corrections to cupcakes, including inscription mistakes, can be corrected on the same day in most cases.
